New Works Kizu

New Works' Kizu is a highly elegant and pretty table lamp. The special thing about the Kizu table lamp is the point of balance between the shade and the marble base. This "Kissing point" creates a product in perfect harmony. The soft shapes from the shade and body resoectively give the table lamp a calm and pleasant expression. The Kizu table lamp from New Works will suit any home and particularly the marble base makes it a classy lamp.

The story behind New Works' Kizu Table Lamp

Lars Tornøe wanted to create a sculptural and simple lamp which resulted in the Kizu table lamp. It was therefore important to him that the point where the shade rests on the body of the lamp is as small as possible. This means that it looks like the shade soars above the marble base.

It was also important to the designer, that the veins of the marble were visible to bring out the life of the marble. Therefore, all the marble bases of the Kizu lamps are unique and vary in colour and visibility of the veins. This is part of the DNA of the lamp.
